19th C. Napoleon Bonaparte Satirical Caricature Portrait on Velum, 1812 RARE

A Very Rare Hand Drawn/Colored Satirical Caracture Portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte
This caricature was originally created by the Henschel brothers immediately after the
Battle of the Nations at Leipzig to commemorate German victory over Napoleon.
In the drawing, Napoleon is wearing a black eagle hat, representing Germany's power
over him. His face is made up of numerous corpses & he wears a blood stained collar,
above his coat where a spider web takes the place of his Medal of the Legion of Honor.
The coat also features a gold epaulet in the form of a hand with an eye of providence
on the wrist each finger identifies the Primary Powers engulfed in the Napoleonic
Wars.The hand is tugging on a strand of the spider web, symbolizing the beginning of
Napoleon's demise.
Hand drawn and colored on Velum with an inscription on the rear.
