    Description

Offering this exquisite perfume scent bottle by studio glass artist - Craig Zweifel. In Zweifel’s signature iridescent pulled feather design - this is a rarely found, vintage example from a high-end Chicago estate. A modern interpretation of a classic shape.
I would best describe the color as ombré ranging from a copper-mauve to light green with black, textured lines creating a pulled feather effect. Because of the glass’ iridescence and glow, the bottle takes on different colorations depending on the lighting and angle of the camera. To give full range of color and luminescence I’ve included photos with and without flash and on both black and white background.
Signed on the side at bottom “Zweifel” and “1994”
Measures 3-1/2 inches tall, 2-3/4 inches across
Excellent vintage condition without any issues noted. Minimal surface abrasions on base. A cabinet display piece.
    Background
Craig Zweifel (1944 - 2020) is an important American Art Glass artist, known the world over for his signature process of applying iridescent colors to glass. The luminous colors evoke a certain ethereal beauty that simply dazzle those who pursue the craft and collectors alike.
Zweifel art glass is free-blown and the subtle variations in color and texture make every piece a one of a kind, even when pieces are of the same general size and pattern.
