VINTAGE FRAMED DOG PHOTO
Adorable vintage framed under glass small Airdale Terrier photograph (I think) measuring 6-1/4" wide by 4-1/4" deep. Featuring a reclining pup in black and white, stock paper is embossed in raised lettering MOTOYOSHI S.F. and dates to the 1930s. Wood frame has a lovely decorative design and muted gold coloration - back bears a tiny Keuffel & Essex pin and yarn thread hanger - I did not remove this from the frame - it is backed with a few pieces of randomly cut cardboard. Motoyoshi was a Japanese photographer who operated in San Francisco 1920s-1940s - that's about all I could find out online. Condition is lovely with no damage and just a hint of frame wear -- a few tiny occlusions and a bubble within the glass do not detract. A wonderful Airdale Terrier image - lovely addition to any collection or display.
