Description
Rarest Wedgwood White Earthenware Portland Vase Disc on base is Paris wearing a Phyrgian cap which is the Wedgwood mark of Portland vase Stunning and in very good conditionThis is a one of a kind Victorian Wedgwood Tea Service.
Hand painted in an Asian inspired style with orange blossoms on graceful branches in enamel.
The backs of each piece are flat so when placed on tray the 3 pieces connect.
Some minor flaws. Remarkable condition for a 143 old set.
For the most part they are in very good condition with slight crazing.
One of the smaller pitchers has a 1/8" flake off the inside of the lid indents not visible on outside
Also small stain near spout, The two pitchers have removable metal lids,
Lids are marked Toft's patent on the inside
Tray has a small flea bite on one edge
The impressed Wedgwood mark and letters indicate 1878.
Teapot w ornate lid is 8" tall by 5 1/4" handle to handle
Two other pitchers are 6 1/2" tall by 3" diameters opening by 4 1/2 " handle to handle
Clover shaped tray with 3 lobes 81/4" wide by 7 1/4" from larger of 2 lobes
Smallest lobe is 5" wide.
