Up for auction is this Wedgwood Jasperware teapot. I was trying to look at the markings to get a date when when this piece was made. This is what I came up with. It is not marked "England" that I can see so it says that happened in 1891. There are three letters on the bottom. What I found out on those is that the first letter is the month it was made, the 2nd letter is for the potter and the last letter is for the year it was made. The letters on the bottom of this teapot are: DJK if I am looking correctly. So I think D is for December, the J is for the potter and the K is for the year and from the charts K=1882. It is 4 1/2 inches tall with lid and about 8 1/2 inches long from handle to spout. I don't see any cracks or major chips. There may be tiny nicks due to age on this piece. If I am correct on the date, this is a wonderful piece to add to your collection.
